Kazakh deminers clears over 1,200 mines in Syria

According to Kazakhstan's Ministry of Defense, Kazakh demining contingent continues its operations under the UN flag in the Golan Heights.

The unit has conducted 44 clearance operations, neutralizing over 1,200 pieces of explosive ordnance and 43 improvised explosive devices.

"We conduct reconnaissance of minefields, inspect UN bases and observation posts <...>. All of the munitions we encounter are dangerous remnants of armed conflicts on Syrian territory",

Officer of the Logistics Department of the Kazakh National Contingent said.
