Tsivilev: Russia to continue developing strategic partnership with Iran

Russia will continue to build its partnership with Iran, Russian Energy Minister Sergei Tsivilev stated during a meeting of the Russian side of the permanent Russian-Iranian Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation.

He also confirmed that the 19th meeting of the Russian-Iranian Intergovernmental Commission is scheduled for February 16-18 in Tehran.

"Our work to develop Russian-Iranian relations continues, and the planned events of the intergovernmental commission will take place as scheduled",

Sergei Tsivilev said.

Moscow and Tehran intend to develop joint projects in energy, agriculture, education, and healthcare, as well as cultural cooperation. According to Tsivilev, special attention will be paid to strengthening the relevant legal and regulatory frameworks for this cooperation.
