Mahmoud Abbas arrives in Russia

Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas arrived in Moscow on January 21, according to Palestinian media.

Abbas is expected to stay in the Russian capital for two days. 

During his stay in the Russian capital, the Palestinian leader is scheduled to hold talks with President Putin, the WAFA news agency reports. Abbas will also meet with ambassadors from several Arab countries.

Abbas intends to discuss recent developments in the Middle East during his meeting with the Russian president.

The Kremlin had previously confirmed the Palestinian leader’s visit to Moscow.
