Baku and Brussels discuss prospects for expanding economic ties

On Thursday, January 22, Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov and EU Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos met on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos. Jabbarov announced the meeting on his social media pages.

The talks focused on prospects for expanding economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and the EU.

"We highlighted key priorities on the Azerbaijan–EU economic cooperation agenda, including the trade and energy partnership, as well as ongoing measures to further develop transport and logistics infrastructure",

Mikayil Jabbarov wrote on his social media.

He added that the discussion also covered ways to maximize the potential of bilateral economic relations.
