Armen Kotolyan, Head of Armenia's Market Surveillance Inspection Body, stated that there are no issues with the quality of gasoline imported from Azerbaijan.

The official noted that samples were taken from delivered batches and tested at the Armenian National Center for Standardization and Metrology. The tests confirmed that the Azerbaijani fuel meets the technical requirements of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).

"No quality violations have been identified",

Armen Kotolyan said.

He added that inspections at filling stations do not track the country of origin of the fuel being sold.

This follows the first delivery of Azerbaijani gasoline to Armenia in decades in December, involving 1,200 tons of fuel transported via Georgia. Another shipment of 6,100 tons of gasoline and 1,500 tons of diesel fuel was sent to Armenia in early January.
