Iran significantly reduced its imports of goods from Georgia during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 21 – December 21, 2025), according to data from the Iranian Customs Administration.

During this period, imports fell by more than 58% in value compared to the same timeframe in 2024, dropping from $127 million to $53 million. In volume, purchases decreased from 40,700 tons to 17,000 tons.

Iran primarily imports agricultural products, timber, and various types of equipment from Georgia.

Iran exports agricultural products, steel, pipes, minerals, and glass containers to Georgia. It should be noted that non-oil exports from Iran to Georgia over the first nine months amounted to 406 thousand tons worth $165 million, which is approximately the same as the figures for March-December 2024.
