The bantamweight bout was decided by the judges' scorecards in favor of the Russian athlete.

This win brings Nurmagomedov's professional record to 20 victories with only one loss.

Born in Kizilyurt, Umar Nurmagomedov is a second cousin of the legendary fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov and recently celebrated his 30th birthday in early January.
