Azerbaijani gold reserves exceed 200 tones
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaAzerbaijan's gold reserves have surpassed 200 tonnes by year-end, marking an increase of 36.4%. Gold now accounts for 38.2% of the investment portfolio of the national oil fund.
The State Oil Fund of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOFAZ) has announced that the country's gold holdings reached the 200-tonnes mark.
Compared with 2024 figures, the gold reserve shows positive growth dynamics, having increased by 36.4% (+53.4 tonnes).
As of January 1, 2025, gold assets comprised 38.2% of the total investment portfolio of the Azerbaijani oil fund, which increased by 22.5% over the year, reaching $73.5 billion.
