Moscow urges Washington and Tehran to exercise restraint

Russia is calling for restraint and renunciation of the use of force in resolving the situation around Iran, Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, commenting on U.S. President Donald Trump's remarks about Iran.

"We continue to call on all parties to exercise restraint and renounce any use of force in resolving the issue," Peskov said.

The Kremlin spokesman noted that any forceful actions can only create chaos in the region and lead to "very dangerous consequences" in terms of destabilising the security system throughout the region.

Earlier, it was reported that Donald Trump is considering a new plan for strikes on Iran.
