Hamas has no choice - Witkoff on Gaza ceasefire

The radical Hamas movement is preparing to disarm, US Special Presidential Envoy Steve Witkoff announced on January 29.

According to Witkoff, the group has no choice. 

"They are preparing to lay down their arms. They will do so because they have no choice. That's why we expect it",

Steve Witkoff said.

Last week, media reports indicated that the USA and Hamas had reached an agreement for the movement to surrender its weapons and maps of the underground tunnel network in the Gaza Strip. In exchange, Hamas would be allowed to retain its status as a political party.
