Vladimir Putin receives Ali Larijani in Kremlin

Russian President Vladimir Putin received secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Ali Larijani at the Kremlin on January 30, presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

Peskov said the meeting took place during Larijani’s visit to Russia, without providing further details.

"The President of Russia held a meeting at the Kremlin with Secretary of Supreme National Security Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ali Larijani, who is on a visit to Russia," the statement reads.

Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump has urged Iran to make a deal over its nuclear program. On Friday, he again spoke about U.S. warships heading towards Iran, claiming they form a much larger “armada” than the fleet sent before the attack on Venezuela earlier this month.
