Iran announces possible energy cooperation with US after new deal reached

According to Abbas Araghchi, Tehran and Washington could begin energy cooperation if the parties succeed in concluding a new nuclear deal.

Iran and the US may establish energy cooperation after a new deal on Iran's nuclear program is concluded, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said.

The diplomat explained that such a scenario could be realized if the new nuclear agreement is based on US recognition of the peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear program and the lifting of sanctions against Iran.
