Oman reports progress in US-Iran talks in Geneva
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaThe third round of negotiations between US and Iranian representatives concerning the nuclear deal concluded in Geneva yesterday, Iranian media reports.
The latest talks were conducted in two sessions. The first took place on the morning of February 26, after which both delegations paused for consultations with their respective capitals before resuming discussions in the evening. In total, the negotiations lasted five hours.
Following the conclusion of the talks, Omani Foreign Minister Badr al-Busaidi indicated that the parties had achieved significant progress.
A series of five rounds of US-Iran negotiations were held last spring. The process was suspended in June due to escalating conflict between Iran and Israel, and resumed in February of this year.
