EU Council President set to visit Azerbaijan

The President of the Council of the European Union, António Costa, will pay an official visit to Azerbaijan on March 11, the EU Council office confirmed.

He will hold a series of high-level meetings with government officials to discuss the rapidly evolving geopolitical situation in the Middle East.

“The visit is not of a regional nature. This is the first official visit of the President of the European Council to Azerbaijan,” the office said.
