US fighter jet makes emergency landing in Middle East

A American -35 fighter jet participating in operations against Iran made an emergency landing at a US base in the Middle East, US Central Command confirmed on March 19.

According to the statement, the aircraft was engaged in a combat mission over Iran before the incident. After being struck, it was forced to divert to a US base for landing.

"The aircraft landed safely, and the pilot is in stable condition. The incident is under investigation",

Central Command spokesman Tim Hawkins said.
