Russian Foreign Ministry thanks Azerbaijan for its assistance in delivering humanitarian aid to Iran

Russia has expressed gratitude to Azerbaijan for facilitating the delivery of humanitarian supplies to Iran via the Astara border crossing, the Russian Foreign Ministry's spokesperson Maria Zakharova said during a briefing on April 1.

According to Zakharova, Moscow continues to provide support to the Iranian citizens.

"We continue to provide humanitarian aid to the population of Iran... We are grateful to the Azerbaijani authorities for their assistance",

 

Zakharova stated.

Since late February, the USA and Israel have been conducting strikes on major Iranian cities. In response, Iran has carried out attacks on Israeli territory and US targets across the Middle East.
