Russia intends to expand visa-free travel with countries
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaRussia is interested in expanding its visa-free travel with other countries, Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov announced at the Intourmarket-2026 forum.
He noted that another key objective is to simplify and broaden the use of electronic visas.
"The first priority is visas. The key here is the further expansion of the visa-free travel regime, as well as the simplification and expansion of the use of electronic visas,"
Reshetnikov said.
According to the minister, Russia already has visa-free agreements in place with China, Saudi Arabia, and Oman.
Other Middle Eastern countries are next in line now, including Bahrain and Kuwait, while visa-free discussions are also under way with Malaysia, Reshetnikov added.
According to Maxim Reshetnikov, work is currently ongoing on group visa-free travel agreements with India and Vietnam.
