Switzerland imposes visa requirements on Georgian diplomatic passport holders
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaSwitzerland has introduced visa requirements for holders of Georgian diplomatic and service passports, effective Friday, thus joining the EU's corresponding decision.
Bern emphasized that although Switzerland is not an EU member, it must implement similar measures as part of the Schengen Area. The restrictions will remain in place for one year.
Holders of ordinary Georgian passports will continue to enjoy visa-free short-term travel to the Schengen Area.
