Turkmenistan organizes Caspian Environmental Forum

The most important question, that goes far beyond regional boundaries, is the environmental condition of the Caspian Sea. "We are convinced that it is necessary to turn international attention to the preservation of the unique natural resources of the Caspian Sea," Berdimuhammedov said. "In this regard, we propose organizing the Caspian Environmental Forum as a permanent body to deal with environmental issues in the Caspian basin, as well as make appropriate proposals and recommendations," he said.
The Caspian Sea is bordered by five countries - Iran, Russia, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, and Kazakhstan.
