Robert Sturua to stay at Tbilisi theater

Robert Sturua will stay at the State Drama Theatre named after Shota Rustaveli, he said after a performance of the play “Hunting Season”, Georgia Online reports.

Gia Kancheli and Gogi Meskhishvili expressed support for him.

Robert Sturua left the theatre as the art director on August 15. Culture Minister Nika Rurua signed his dismissal note. Sturua was supposedly dismissed for xenophobic statements against ethnic Armenians and black people.
