Azerbaijan comments on resumption of Baku-Tbilisi train service

Azerbaijan Railways CJSC has responded to information from the Georgian side about the possible relaunch of passenger train service on the Baku-Tbilisi-Baku route.

According to the company, working negotiations are currently underway with Georgian Railways, with both sides discussing technical and organizational matters related to resuming the service.

Earlier today, the Georgian government announced that daily trains between Baku and Tbilisi would begin operating on May 26.
