Baku confirms relaunch of Baku-Tbilisi-Baku passenger train

Azerbaijan and Georgia agreed to resume daily passenger rail service on the Baku-Tbilisi-Baku route beginning May 26, 2026.

The agreement was signed in Baku at President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev's talks with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, who traveled to Baku to participate in WUF13. 

"The parties additionally agreed to resume daily passenger rail service on the Baku-Tbilisi-Baku route beginning May 26, 2026," Ilham Aliyev said.
