Azerbaijan's population as of early April revealed

In January-March, 2026, Azerbaijan’s population increased by 5,814 people, or 0.1 percent, reaching a total of 10,268,165 as of April 1, 2026, according to the Azerbaijani State Statistical Committee.

Population distribution data show that 54.3% of residents live in urban areas, while 45.7% resident in rural areas.

In terms of gender composition, 49.8% of the population are men and 50.2% are women.

Moreover, 84,300 people live  in Azerbaijan's liberated territories.
