European Commission raises Russia's GDP growth forecast

The European Commission raised its forecast for Russia’s GDP growth in 2026 to 1.3%, according to the EC’s spring economic forecast.

The previous European Commission forecast envisaged an increase in Russian GDP of 1.1% this year.

"Russia’s GDP growth is expected at 1.3% in 2026 and 1.1% in 2027," the report said.

At the same time, the forecast for 2027 was lowered from 1.2% to 1.1%.
