Georgian border guards detain gold smugglers

Georgian border guards have detained Georgian nationals Mamuka Jigauri and Nani Khechiashvili on the border of Turkey. The two attempted to smuggle 1 kg of gold over the Turkish border, RBC reports.

The gold is worth over $42,000. The police are investigating the case.
