Israel launches anti-Hezbollah operation in southern Lebanon

Israeli special forces have launched an operation against Hezbollah militant units on the outskirts of the Lebanese city of Nabatieh in southern Lebanon, according to reports.

Al Hadath TV reported that the push toward the city was preceded by heavy airstrikes and artillery shelling.

The Israeli military is reportedly using robots to detect explosives and sabotage groups.

Nabatieh is the capital of the Nabatieh Governorate located approximately 75 kilometers from Beirut.
