All highways in Georgia to remain toll-free

Georgia's Department of Highways issued a statement confirming that no decisions have been made to convert the Rikoti Pass or any other Georgian road to toll-based status.

All domestic and international highways in Georgia are currently toll-free and will remain so, the department said. No changes to the existing system are under consideration.

Earlier, unverified claims circulated online that the Rikoti Highway was expected to become a toll road after its planned reconstruction.
