5,3-magnitude earthquake strikes Mediterranean Sea off Turkish coast

A 5.3-magnitude earthquake struck the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of Türkiye on Thursday afternoon, Türkiye's Disaster and Emergency Management Authority reported.

The tremors occurred at 2:06 PM local time (the same as Moscow time).

The epicenter was located 137 kilometers from the Datça district in Muğla Province. The hypocenter was at a depth of 19.87 kilometers.

No casualties or damage have been reported so far.
