Dollar rises above 80 rubles for first time since spring

The US dollar exchange rate on the international Forex market exceeded 80 rubles for the first time in four months, according to ICE data.

The dollar gained 3.98% in the latest trading session.

The last time the US currency traded above the 80-ruble mark was on April 3.

Russia's Central Bank had earlier set the official dollar rate at 77.2 rubles and the euro at 88 rubles for July 6.
