Russian Foreign Ministry comments on NATO summit results

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said disagreements between the U.S. and its European allies persisted despite efforts to project unity during the NATO summit.

She said NATO had again identified Russia as a long-term threat to Euro-Atlantic security.

According to the Russian diplomat, confrontation with Moscow had become "existential and systemic" for the alliance.

Heads of state and government from the 32 member nations meet in Ankara, Türkiye, on July 7-8, 2026.
