Israel kills several Hamas commanders

The Israeli military has killed two commanders of Hamas's Nuhba special forces unit in the northern Gaza Strip, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported on Wednesday.

"Yesterday, IDF forces struck the northern Gaza Strip and killed two commanders of Hamas's Nuhba unit",

the IDF said.

The militants had posed a threat to Israeli forces operating in the area, the military said.

Before the strike, Israeli forces took measures to minimize civilian casualties, the IDF added.
