Iran reports strikes on Bandar Abbas and Qeshm Island

According to Iranian media reports, the port of Bandar Abbas and Qeshm Island have been struck by US forces.

"At 6:10 p.m., American shells struck the area near Qeshm Island",

local media reported.

No details on the consequences have been released so far.

Qeshm Island is Iran's largest island and lies in the Strait of Hormuz. Bandar Abbas is one of the country's key port cities and hosts the Iranian Navy.
