Chechnya hosts festival of horse-riding art

Grozny has held the first festival of horse-riding art, initiated by Chechen Leader Ramzan Kadyrov. The supervisor of the festival, Isa Hajimuradov, said that the festival was initially planned to be held at the hippodrome in Gudermes.


The festival is intended to preserve national cultures and traditions, strengthen interethnic relations and popularize the art of horse-riding. Riders arrived from Moscow, North Ossetia and Volgograd. There were a total of 55 riders taking part with 30 horses. The youngest rider was Grisha Konovalov from Surovikino ib the Volgograd Region, aged 7. He had been part of a group for 2 years. His horse is named Bur.


Sergey Khlebnikov, head of the Service of the Commandant of the Kremlin’s Federal Protection Service and the Kremlin, President of the Kremlin’s Horse School, greeted everyone attending the festival.


Chechen Leader Ramzan Kadyrov awarded General-Lieutenant Khlebnikov with a Chechen Merit Medal.
