Russia reduces wine imports from Georgia by almost 10 percent

Russian imports of Georgian wine fell by 9.7% in the first half of 2026, with shipments totalling approximately 24,000 tons, according to Sakstat.

The total value of exports to Russia was around $70 million, compared to nearly $73 million in the same period last year.

Georgia's overall wine exports were valued at $117 million, down 8.8% year-on-year. Russia remained the top destination with 24,000 tons out of a total of 37,700 tons, followed by Poland with 3,300 tons.
