Georgia sharply increases tomato imports from Azerbaijan

Georgia’s imports of Azerbaijani tomatoes jumped 2.6 times in the first half of 2026 to 3,751 tons, compared with the same period last year, the National Statistical Office of Georgia reported.

In value terms, imports rose 2.7 times to $2.7 million.

Azerbaijan has become one of Georgia's largest tomato suppliers, ranking second in terms of shipments.

Overall, Georgia imported 17,960 tons of tomatoes worth $13 million in the first half of the year.
