Direct flights connect Baku and Kars

Azerbaijan Airlines has launched direct flights between Baku and the Turkish city of Kars.

The first flight arrived at Kars Harakani Airport on Thursday, with passengers receiving a warm welcome.

The carrier plans to operate the new route twice weekly, on Thursdays and Sundays.

AZAL already serves several Turkish destinations, including Istanbul, Ankara, Antalya, Bodrum, Izmir, Trabzon, Dalaman, Adana, and Kars.
