Hamas calls on mediators to pressure Israel for Gaza Peace

Hamas has called on mediators to pressure Israel into reaching a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, a Hamas source told Al Jazeera.

"The movement contacted the mediators and demanded a clear position on the latest escalation by Israeli forces in Gaza",

the source said.

According to the report, the Palestinian group insists on direct mediation intervention and warned that continued escalation makes any further peace process impossible.
