Global oil prices continue to rise

Brent crude oil futures for October delivery on London's ICE exchange climbed above $85 per barrel for the first time since August 4, according to trading data.

During the session, Brent gained 1.9% to hit $85.14 before easing to $84.69, up 1.36% on the day. September Brent contracts closed at $89.19.

WTI crude futures for September rose 1.45% to $79.31 per barrel. Azerbaijani Azeri Light crude gained 0.6% to $93.93, while Türkiye's Ceyhan FOB price rose 0.72% to $90.95.
