Gold rises above 4,500 dollars for first time since June 5

Gold prices on the Comex exchange climbed above $4,500 per troy ounce on Wednesday for the first time since June 5, according to trading data.

December gold futures hit $4,502.70 at 4:00 p.m. Moscow time, showing an increase of 1.39% from the previous close. The rally later eased, with futures trading at $4,490.50 by 4:05 p.m.

Silver also gained, with September futures rising 2.26% to $66.4 per ounce.
