Armenian PM appoints new Security Council secretary

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has appointed former Parliament Speaker Alen Simonyan as Secretary of the Security Council, replacing Armen Grigoryan who held the position since 2018. 

The decree appointing Simonyan and the decree dismissing Grigoryan, both signed by Pashinyan, were published online on Thursday.
