Baku and Astana discuss military cooperation prospects

Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan have held defence ministry consultations in Baku, discussing the current state of cooperation and promising areas of military partnership, the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry said.

The parties also outlined a cooperation plan for 2027.

The talks come amid reports of a large‑scale modernisation of Azerbaijan's Navy and coast guard, which could also influence the development of Kazakhstan's naval forces in the Caspian Sea
