Omani authorities don't take Trump's threats seriously - media

Omani officials do not take US President Donald Trump's threats to strike the country seriously, Al‑Monitor reported, citing sources.

"We are puzzled... Trump is trying to find a scapegoat for the failure of the war. Frankly speaking, we don't take this seriously",

a source said.

According to US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, sanctions against Oman were possible due to its cooperation with Iran, as Washington fears Muscat is negotiating transit fees with Tehran. Trump had earlier warned that the US could strike Oman over the talks.
