Era of US global hegemony is over - Ghalibaf

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has declared that the era of US global hegemony is over and called for countries to abandon the dollar in trade settlements.

"The era of US global hegemony is over, but we have not fully taken advantage of the opportunity and continue to conduct trade using outdated methods",

Ghalibaf said.

He urged a shift to national currencies for international transactions. Ghalibaf also described the corridor from Iran to the Mediterranean as a central element of the "axis of resistance" and a key geopolitical component.
