CENTCOM redirects 70 vessels since resumption of Iran blockade

The U.S. military has redirected 70 commercial vessels since July 14 when the United States resumed its naval blockade against Iran, the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said.

" As of August 23, U.S. forces have redirected 70 commercial vessels, disabled 3 and boarded 2 to ensure compliance," the statement reads.

The U.S. blockade of maritime traffic entering and exiting Iranian ports resumed on July 14. As of August 17, U.S. forces have redirected 64 commercial vessels, disabled three and boarded two.
