Russia strengthens position among Georgia's top three economic partners

In the first seven months of 2026, Russia cemented its place as Georgia's second‑largest trading partner, overtaking China and boosting exports by a quarter, according to the National Statistics Office of Georgia.

Türkiye remained Georgia's top supplier, delivering $1.7 billion worth of goods with an increase of 5%.

Russia followed with $1.4 billion, showing a 26.5% increase, while China ranked third with $0.1 billion (a 22.3% rise).

On the export side, Kyrgyzstan led Georgia's sales with $521.2 million, despite a 31.6% drop. China ranked second with a 166.4% surge, and Russia was third with $437.5 million, up 6.2%.
