US identifies sectors for secondary sanctions against Iran

The US Treasury Department has released a list of sectors that will be prioritised for secondary sanctions related to Iran, expanding the scope of activities that could become targets.

The measure is intended to speed up the implementation of restrictions against those supporting Tehran, the department said.

In addition, 48 legal entities, 24 individuals, and six oil tankers have been added to the anti‑Iran sanctions list.
