Iran announces new weapons purchases

Iran imported weapons during the ceasefire with the US and has delivered new equipment to army units, Iranian Army spokesman Mohammad Akraminia said.

"We also took steps to prepare and purchase new equipment, and today this equipment was delivered to army units",

Mohammad Akraminia said.

The spokesman did not specify the volume of purchases or the supplier.
