Nearly 200 mines discovered in Azerbaijan in week

A total of 2,048.7 hectares of territory were cleared of mines and UXOs in Azerbaijan on August 24-31, the Azerbaijan Mine Action Agency (ANAMA) said.

During mine-clearing operations in Tartar, Aghdara, Kalbajar, Aghdam, Khojaly, Khankendi, Khojavend, Lachin, Shusha, Fuzuli, Gubadli, Jabrayil, and Zangilan districts, a total of 161 anti-personnel mines, 29 anti-tank mines, and 689 unexploded ordnances (UXOs) were detected and neutralized during the reporting period.
