Israeli military detains senior Hamas member

Israeli forces have detained a senior Hamas operative in the Gaza Strip, Defense Minister Israel Katz confirmed.

"...We are not waiting for threats, but are pursuing Hamas militants, neutralizing them, and destroying their infrastructure. The response to every rocket launch from Gaza will be strong and clear",

Israel's Defense Minister reported.

Israeli media reporter that the detainee is the head of Hamas's General Security Service in Gaza.
