Russia sets record for oil exports to China

Russia's share of oil supplies to China reached a record 23% this year, making it the country's largest oil exporter, Rosneft CEO Igor Sechin said.

"Annual supplies exceed 100 million tonnes. In the first seven months of this year, 67 million tonnes were supplied, and our share in Chinese imports hit a record 23%",

Igor Sechin said at the Russian‑Chinese energy business forum.

Sechin added that Russia and China together account for a third of global energy production.
